Chinese Dragon Birthday Cake
I believe this is the 4th Dragon cake in a row that I have done for my son. This year we did a Chinese Dragon made of rice crispy treats and covered with fondant. I steamed the fondant to give it the glossy look. I really struggled with the dragon, he turned out alot bigger and heavier than I thought he would, I wasn't sure I would be able to get him onto the cake but I finally managed to wrestle him on there.

Baby Shower Cake, It's a Girl
One of my daughters friends was having a baby girl and asked me to make the shower cake. I went with a baby bottle, rattle and blocks all carved from cake and iced with buttercream frosting. I hear it was a big hit.
Slot Machine Birthday Cake
For my mother in laws birthday this year I did a slot machine cake. It was really pretty easy, I cut my 11X14 in cake in half and stacked it, carved it into shape and used buttercream icing with fondant accents. I wanted to find the gold foil chocolate coins but I guess it was the wrong time of year so I had to settle for plastic.

Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary Cake
This is the cake that I made for my mom and dad's 50th anniversary in December. Royal icing roses and gold paper leaves. The gold tinsel on top is from the Christmas aisle at Wal-mart, I was having a hard time finding gold decorations so, even though these were supposed to adorn Christmas packages they worked for a cake top and no one even knew (until now that is). Second cake I have made using columns and they keep getting easier! I found the teal paste food color, loved it and wanted to try it out, they really liked it, had a very wintery look to it!
Thanksgiving Turkey Cake
Thanksgiving turkey cake. This one was super simple, I used my old Wilton Turkey cake pan and just filled it in with a star tip. My daughter dubbed this the most boring cake I have made in a long time!
Halloween Skeleton in Gothic Coffin Cake
This was the cake for our annual Scary Foods Halloween dinner in 09. The coffin was carved from pound cake using my sheet cake pan and the skeleton was made of fondant. I made each little bone and then set him in using tweezers after they dried, took FOREVER!
