My favorite cake so far, two baby opossum for my twin great nephew's 1 st birthday. The main cake is chocolate sheet cake and the opossum cakes are red velvet. When I was first asked to do opossums I thought "yuck" but, baby opossum are much cuter than their adult counterparts as you can see.
This is adorable! I work with an opossum at my job and my kids love her. I would like to make an opossum cake for my youngest's 2nd birthday. How did you make the opossums?
ReplyDeleteSorry it took so long to get back to you. I made the opossums by carving red velvet cake baked in loaf pans into the general shape and then just iced them with a star tip. I used a picture to get the general idea for the coloring. They were alot of fun to make.
